 Mr Woodenlegs previously was popularly known as Boy Chikason at the early 90s and debuted his first single album tittled “I love you mother” and “Onyeoma” with Tabansi records ltd Lagos Nigeria in 1993. He is from Ihiala in Anambra State but schooled and was raised in the Northern part of Nigeria, Hadija, in Kano State to be precise. He completed his secondary education at St Judes College Ihiala Anambra State Nigeria. Due to some circumstances, he dropped out from Oko politechnic in Anambra State where he intended studing Mass Communication.
In 1995, he came up with his second album tittled “How you dey?” Ander Chyke Goleen Records ltd Lagos Nigeria. Mr Woodenlegs as popularly called today has participated in different international musical concerts both home and abroad, e.g, Ecowas music and cultural festival, Amnesty internacional refugee concerts, CAF, FiffaWorld cup musical concert, Nigeria internacional songs festival etc.
Mr Woodenlegs received an Igbo Heritage Musical Award in 2009 for his great skills in music. The follows his achievements going back to 1998 when he was appointed as Nigeria Super eagles artist of the year by NFA and then Minister of sports Late Air Commodore Emeka Omeruah under Late General Sani Abacha government. This song tittled France 98 released under Ivory music ltd won the team song for the Super eagles of nigeria. After the France 98 world cup, he moved to Europe with his band called “Afro band” and settle in Spain and continued with his music. As a full blooded African, Mr woodenlegs focused his style of music more African and he called this, Funk highlife, African Gbedu, African hip hop and Reggae. His band is made up of 7 (seven) young talented instrumentalist and dancers including Africans and foreigners.
Mr Woodenlegs is comino back once again in a big way with his new musical Project tittled, “Nigeria on the move for proper solution” a Project he wrote and performed in search of a way to move his country Nigeria forward. Mr woodenlegs is ready to entertain to stimulate his fans and take his musical career to higher level.
